Another Pinterest recipe…imagine that! Ha. This is Cheesy Sausage Pasta. It was pretty good, however, I added a little more milk/broth thinking the noodles would absorb all of the liquid and wouldn’t soften up. I was wrong. It was too much liquid for me, but Josh loved the extra broth.
Here’s what you need:
1 lb smoked turkey sausage
1 Tbs minced garlic
2 cups chicken broth
1 can diced tomatoes
1/2 cup milk or heavy cream
8 oz pasta
Cheddar Jack cheese
Saute your onions in a small amount of olive oil.
Add your sliced sausage and garlic.
Cook briefly, as the sausage is precooked.
Add the 2 cups of chicken broth.
Add the can of diced tomatoes.
Add the 1/2 cup of milk or heavy cream.
Bring to a boil for about 10 minutes or until the pasta is soft.
Add the cheese and allow to melt.
Serve with green onions for garnish, and added delicious flavor.
