Everyday Life

1 Week Down, 3 to go!

Here’s the week 1 update of our Jillian Michaels – Ripped in 30 challenge:

We’ve done really good on this diet. Last year, my husband did a 30 day challenge, and the first few days were HORRIBLE. He was SO cranky, tired, and zapped of all energy.  However, he said this one is much better, and he hasn’t ever felt crazy hungry.  Which is great, because he is CONSTANTLY hungry. (I tell him it’s all in his head).  For the first few days I was very strict, and only ate what Jillian’s menu said.  Which is supposed to be 400 calorie breakfasts, lunches, and dinner, and a 200 calorie snack – totaling 1400 total daily calories.  However, when I calculated some of the calories, it wasn’t coming out to 400. So I started added a few things to help us total 400 each meal.

Here’s our menu:

Lunch: Turkey and Avocado Wrap

Snack: Deer Jerky

Dinner: Turkey Kebabs

I haven’t weighed myself, and don’t plan to until the end of the 30 days. I know Josh has already lost nearly 10 lbs. He can lose weight so fast. He’s lucky!
