Fruit/Brownie Pie

This is a really easy dessert that is just so delicious!

Here’s what you need:

  • Brownie mix (and ingredients)
  • Cream Cheese (softened)
  • Fruit (strawberries, blueberries, bananas, etc.)
  • Chocolate chips (or any melt-able chocolate)

Mix the brownies according to the box instructions.  For thinner brownies, and more of a PIE look, use a pizza pan.  I, however, forgot I didn’t have a pizza pan when I made this recipe, so I used a 9×13.  Either works fine.  However, if you use the pizza pan, remember, the batter is thin, so it won’t take as long to cook – so keep an eye on them.

Allow the brownies to cool completely, or overnight.

Spread the softened cream cheese over the top of the brownies.

Add your sliced fruit.  I’ve seen strawberries, blueberries, bananas, kiwi, raspberries, blackberries, etc.  It’s basically any fruit you or your party likes.  I kept it simple with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas.  And remember – your bananas will turn brown, so you might want to add them just before serving so it looks appetizing.

Be sure to refrigerate any leftovers!
